Al Shama Sihira and Al Shama Sefina

The previous two years have seen changes at Al Shama Arabians Australia. The excitement of moving to a new property was tempered by the loss of our Straight Egyptian stallion, Stavs Kin Shahsa. This loss saw the path we had chosen take some new and unexpected turns. However, the destination still remains the same – to preserve the beauty for which Arabians are renowned, while still embodying superb temperaments, conformation, athleticism and trainability.

With the descendants of Ansata Ibn Halima (Nazeer x Halima) and Hanan (Alaa El Din x Mona) still inspiring us and feeding our passion we are immensely proud of our 2006 filly foal Al Shama Sefina. Another exciting youngster at Al Shama Arabians is the exotic Al Shama Bint Kin Shahsa, our 2005 filly by Stavs Kin Shahsa. Both fillies are dynamic, flamboyant individuals who represent all we are trying to achieve in our breeding program.

Simeon Smadar continues to be a breeders dream, producing four exceptional fillies from four foals. Joining her mother in the broodmare band will be the exquisite Al Shama Sihira (Salaa Sihr x Simeon Smadar), an exceptional beauty with movement, conformation, charisma and temperament to match.

Our Straight Egyptian mare, Ahaanah, an Asfour granddaughter and Ansata Ibn Halima great granddaughter continues to grow in beauty each day, reminiscent of her exquisite Dahman heritage. She too will join our broodmare band this coming breeding season but at present is on lease to our very dear friends Denis and Dianne Hewat of Byrnlea Park Arabians, Victoria.

These mares and fillies, whose blood combines the Hanan family and Ansata descendants, embody our ideals of what an Arabian should be and bring us immense joy and pleasure.
